these are a selection of photos i took for my ‘social documentary’ project at college.

i took my inspiration from a photographer named Kaylynn Deveney. i based my work as trying to show objects which have meaning to an elderly lady in her home, i tried to keep my images warm and use a different field of techniques.

These are a selection of images i took in Camden for my college ‘street fashion’ project, i walked around camden with my film camera and asked different people that i thought looked interesting if i could take a photo of them. most people where happy for me to do so which it made it a good learning experience for me.

i framed some of my shots to make them a little more interesting and different but i didnt want to take away the natural look and feel of the images to much.

I took these photos on a ‘5x4” large format camera for my college project, i used a friend from my class to model for me on a white back drop.

the main focus of the first image is the eye, i tried keeping the eye sharp whilst making everything else softer. the second image i wanted to to focus of the texture of his shirt and use of lighting, i have manipulated the lighting to create strong shadows in the image.

i used a soft warm brown tint which i feel compliments the style and texture of the image.

these images i took are also part of my Digital Landscape project

i took this photograph for my digital landscape project in college, i was drawn to taking this image because i like the way that there are all these bigger tress around but this solitary tree on its own seems more intriguing and interesting.
i decided to keep this image in black and white because i feel in enhances the feeling that the tree stands out from the others.
